Barbara Brown Taylor is an Episcopal priest, a professor of religion at Piedmont College in Georgia, and the author of several acclaimed books such as An Altar in the World and Learning to Walk in the Dark.
In her book Holy Envy, she shares the insights into her Christian faith that she has gained through introducing her students to other religions of the world.
In this memoir she explains how trips to other houses of worship, and encounters with those of other faiths, have enhanced her faith and that of her students. She shares these insights in a very readable, thoughtful and engaging manner.
In today’s world where we see the importance of diversity and inclusion, hers is an inspiring voice.
For me, this is a book that begs to be read again.
Check out Holy Envy, and many other books, from the Covenant Library!
